Storify - A Kids Series
Kids’ emotional literacy, early learning, and storytelling activities
Welcome to Storify
Beginnings are hard. Even harder when you’re building something that matters. But Storify is not something completely new. It has lived in the incubator space of Sydney, Australia for over a year and is now entering your lives.
Why this, why now?
Storify is my activism against screen time for both kids and parents. Inspired by childhood visits with my grandmother and her stories, I see stories not only as entertainment but also as powerful tools for connection, resilience, imagination, and learning.
And the latter is what Storify is here for…
Children learn best through stories, and parents thrive when they feel supported, not overwhelmed.
So this space will bring both together.
What kind of community is this?
Storify transforms simple moments with your kids into lasting memories. Through creative play, storytelling, and sensory experiences, Storify helps parents, teachers, and creators reignite the magic of connection and support emotional and literacy development in a screen-dominated world.
Join us in inspiring meaningful interactions and enriching lives through the power of storytelling.

And because visuals bring stories to life, here’s the first image that inspired the Storify mood:
Finally…
This is your space as much as mine, and it will evolve.
Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned from parenting and research, it’s this:
Play is messy. Creativity is messy. Beginnings are messy.
But they’re also magical.

I love the spirit behind Storify! Stories truly have the power to connect, spark imagination, and teach. I’ve always seen screen time a bit differently—I’ve worked in television and adore both film and TV—so for me, it’s all about balance. Stories, on a screen or told in person, are magic either way. Can’t wait to see how your ideas inspire families!
I’ve also written a little about my take on screen time here and how I teach using film and television: https://open.substack.com/pub/thesiabrat/p/lessons-from-a-night-at-the-museum
